1. What we collect
- Account info: name, email, phone number — collected via Clerk authentication.
- Booking details:car size, license plate, event you're attending, payment confirmation.
- Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Host info: property address, parcel ID (from public records), lot size, identity verification (for Stripe Connect Express), bank account (held by Stripe, not us).
- Usage data: pages viewed, clicks — used to debug the product and improve UX.
2. How we use it
- To run the booking → payment → check-in → review flow.
- To send transactional emails and SMS (booking confirmations, host alerts).
- To prevent fraud and resolve disputes.
- To comply with tax and legal obligations (e.g., 1099-K filings for hosts).
We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Who we share with
- Stripe — payments and host payouts.
- Clerk — authentication and user account management.
- Supabase — our database hosting (Postgres on AWS).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Twilio — transactional SMS delivery.
- Google Maps — to display maps and geocode addresses.
- The other side of your booking — drivers see the host's first name and emoji avatar before check-in, plus the host's address after payment. Hosts see the driver's first name, phone, car size, and license plate.
4. Data retention
Bookings, ratings, and payment receipts are retained for at least 7 years (US tax requirement). Account profiles are retained until you delete your account. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@parkinghaus.com.
5. Your rights (CCPA / GDPR-style)
You can request: a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data (subject to legal retention), or opt-out of marketing emails. Contact us at the email above.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session) and minimal analytics. No third-party advertising cookies. We don't track you across websites.
